This feasibility study was undertaken for a French investor for an old barracks in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. Behind a 19th century building facing the street is currently a large 1950s office building which is far from current standards.
The proposal was inspired by the work of Sol Lewitt. A modern 18,000m² office building is arranged around four courtyards. The volume decomposes on its north elevation to create a vibrant sculptural form, hidden from the street.
