This is a fantasy project, for no real client and with no brief; a 48hr what if design excercise. The slim residential tower would replace the Doggett’s pub by Blackfriars bridge, one of the least attractive buildings by the Thames at one of the most congested spots along the South Bank walk.
The tower would form part of the emerging cluster of tall buildings in the area. Its basic concept is an extension of Le Corbusier’s Dom-Ino House, repeated vertically to form a tower.
